Arrived in one huge box, slightly damaged with a puncture in roof panel. I blame the manufacturer since there is no padding or barrier to prevent damage in shipping. (sloppy packaging). Otherwise five stars. Instructions are clear as a bell. Great design, only a few screws, but has these oversize plastic bolts with special driver included. so no stripped out screws everywhere. Asssembled in one hour, on a platform that took me 5 hours to build from recycled 4×4 timbers. With some add on shelf brackets and a stand alone shelf, i managed to put a LOT of equipment. The list is vast, just see photo. Was a good value and hundreds less that the (sounds like) blubbermaid shed..I like the short 4ft tall walls, as it was against a workshop with windows. It fit my application well. Pros: Fast assy, ingenious fasteners. clear instructions. Cons: slightly damaged panel.

Easy Installation, great product.

The Suncast Glidetop Shed arrived one day earlier than expected. Had the package put in my garage and disassembled the packaging so I could carry the parts through my home since my access to the side of my house is basically unusable. On a calm morning I enlisted the help of my wife to steady the panels during construction. This was the absolute easiest, straight forward assembly with the best fitting panels of anything I purchased (such as desks, bookcases) that I had to assemble. All the parts are labeled and fit perfectly. I didn’t record the time accurately but we finished in under one hour. The shed looks impressive and is sturdy. The glide top works as advertised and is definitely needed due to the low height.

Just over an hour to put together. Easier with two helping when assembling. Slides well, locks, and recommend it. We have two adult bikes, two kids bikes, one toddler bike and our bike rack stored in it.

Very Nice! Recommended

I bought this on in Feb 2014. It is now 2017 (April). I was working so much that I never even opened the box until this last week. I figured by this time, having set out in my yard that the contents must be ruined. They weren’t. They were as good as new. I then figured that me, a female, now retired at age 70 would be hard pressed to put this together alone. I put it together in an hour. Alone! Very good instructions included. All the bolts and tools needed, also, included. I live in a condo with a small yard (concrete on one side and a flower garden on the other–and no garage. I needed a place to put things–a 1400 square feet of living space with 3 bedrooms is not enough room for all the things I have collected. And, I had the problem of HOA rules about how high a shed in my yard can be–picky-picky HOA! This sweet little shed is ideal! It satisfied their rules and my needs. After completing it, I thought to myself, “What a wonderful playhouse this would be for kids!” And being a beautiful Spring night, I tossed in an air mattress and a sleeping bag and ‘camped’ out in it for the first night after putting it together. Fun listening to the outside sounds of nocturnal bliss. The next day I put all my overflow into it–much roomier than you’d think. And, yes, the floor is sturdy enough to walk on, sleep on, whatever. I am so pleased. Wish I’d put it together three years ago! My whole place is so organized now, I don’t know what to do!

There’s a right way and a wrong way to assemble it, and the wrong way is fine!

Read the reviews of this shed, and it will become clear that a lot of the concern is over the assembly instructions, which tell you to either build a concrete foundation or a wood platform for the shed to sit on, and then to anchor the shed to it. Not doing so voids the warranty and, according to the manual, “will cause catastrophic failure, rendering the unit nonfunctional.”

I purchased this for the husband for a Christmas present, but just assembled it yesterday. Assembly was a breeze. About an hour from start to finish. I did it by myself, with my girls playing inside the entire time. You only need a tool that comes with it and a phillips head screwdriver. We needed some type of storage unit for our backyard and I didn’t want a big obtrusive shed. This one is the perfect height to sit next to our deck without being visible from above. The retractable roof is very convenient, making the deep storage user friendly and functional. I would make this purchase again.

I recommend it

We liked this. The most important thing to remember is your foundation it has to be level and solid. The pieces won’t line up if it is not on a level surface when assembling. I put this together by myself, it was very easy to. The hardest part about this whole project was building the foundation it sits on. The only negative we have is if they would have used some metal around the lock area to make it more secure, like they did for the slide and roof support.

it’s pretty good and fairly practical

For a plastic shed, it’s pretty good and fairly practical. Delivery was timely and helpful, and I was able to assemble the shed by myself in a couple of hours. I think I spent longer on site preparation than on the assembly itself. I did have to ream out some of the slots in the bottom to make the pieces slide together properly, which added an hour right there. Once assembled, it sits below the level of my concrete-block wall so it’s unaffected by wind and the HOA doesn’t see it. It remains to be seen how long the plastic will hold up in the Vegas sun.

First off- I live in Southeast Louisiana which is prone to high water, heavy rain, and Horrible coastal weather systems. I have had this unit for 12 months with no leaks or warping due to the heat exposure. It was an easy assembly. I purchased two 3300 lb capable pallets for a foundation and it is awesome. It holds generators, lawn gear, storage totes, and lawn equipment with no problem. The sliding top allows for easy access and it is lockable. I cannot give it high enough marks!
