I’m 1 for 2 with these racks

The first rack I ordered was pretty easy to assemble and is holding a ton of wood. I was so happy I bought another.

Well lookie there, it holds logs!

Decent log rack. Like several others stated, the holes are punched somewhat poorly. Mine were at a slight angle, but that was easy to overcome by getting the crossbar in place then using the leverage from that to straighten it all out. It definitely didn’t come out perfectly square, but it definitely holds logs. Though not shown here, mine came with two thin flat bars that were also not on the included instruction sheet. They go at the bottom of the ends, between front and back, on both sides of the rack. I wasn’t sure whether to mount them on the inside or outside, so ended up putting them on the inside. They basically just help keep the bottom portion of the rack equidistant with the top so it doesn’t end up like an “A” or “V” shape. There were a few scratches on the black finish… But who cares, it’s for holding firewood, not for showing off to guests. It’s going to eventually get beat to crud anyways. For the price, it’s a pretty decent piece. Would have rated 5 if it a) had better instructions and b) had some washers to prevent the steel tubes from starting to collapse when bolting it together.

does what it’s supposed to

I was able to put this together very quickly and load it with wood. I’ve got wood stacked all the way to the top and it’s supporting the weight just fine. I’ve got it covered with a tarp in the back yard and it’s doing just fine. Definitely what I needed and glad I bought it.

I think my major mistake was underestimating my wood inventory. With a bit of turbulent winds, I have twice had to cut up some major tree limbs and add to my firewood stash. This device is relatively inexpensive, but does the job well. I will be ordering a second one shortly. Very easy to put together (I think it must have been re-engineered since some older reviews discuss issues I did not find). The air circulation and openness have reduced varmint hiding places when I had a chaotic stack previously. Bringing order to my life has improved quick access to the wood as well. That is not unique to this item, but it is an effective device that bears the weight of the wood nicely. As I cut my wood, I now have a better gauge of how long to make each piece, so feng shui is a lot improved. The only missing star would reflect a desire to have stronger component pieces. That is not a deficiency, but a personal desire to have confidence it will “live” a long time.

Very sturdy, good quality and well made

The Panacea Deluxe Outdoor Log Rack is a very sturdy, 4′ wide, 4′ high and 14″ deep. We order a cord or two of wood every winter season and stack it away from the house. However, when it is snowing outside, trekking out to the wood pile becomes a rock-paper-scissors battle in my family to see who will bring in the next load. I bought this holder to stack wood in my garage before storms or family nights in so I wouldn’t have to trek outside in the cold and snow to feed our fireplace.

Sturdy, easy to assemble, minor quality-control issues

I needed a better place to put the firewood that was in a chaotic pile behind my tool shed, so I bought this rack. It’s sturdy, well-made, & easy to put together (even for a klutz like me). The only imperfection I found was that two of eight plastic caps were missing from the ends of the tubes. That may affect the rack’s longevity, as those caps cover the rack’s “feet,” & the uncapped ends may be vulnerable to corrosion.

Couldn’t be more pleased

This is an extraordinary product. It exceeds my expectations. First of all, it was easy to assemble. I didn’t even have to look at the instructions. It took less than 15 minutes. After assembling, I did glance at the instructions (one page) and note that they left off a depiction of the straight 12″ pieces. These go between the end legs, the same direction as the wood will be placed, to prevent the legs from spreading.
