Customer Reviews

Wonderful product! Definitely repeat customer here.

The flashlight was just as expected. I couldn’t be any happier to receive my product! The packaging was pretty good for it just being in a small box, everything was packed away neatly and positioned well. It didn’t come with an instruction manual but I’m pretty sure it was a given to know how to operate a flashlight and how to insert a battery but for some that may not know how to do that (just saying). The rechargeable battery that came with the flashlight was precharged and I was able to test out the output lighting and wow was it bright! Apparently the button was already depressed in when I inserted the battery and little did I know that the flashlight was set on strobe mode.. So I knew it worked right off the bat! Definitely 700-900 lumens on the output. The rechargeable battery sleeve adapter definitely held the battery in place inside the battery with little to no play which is good because having a battery like that clunk around inside the flashlight is very annoying sometimes. Overall the product has a wonderful light weight aluminum finish that feels solid to the touch. Wouldn’t recommend dropping it or submerging it in water even though it has a solid body and is water resistant. It is very compact and handy for whenever you need it on the go. Almost forgot about the keychain flash light included! That thing is freakin bright out the butt! My girlfriend was testing it out and didn’t realize she was pointing the light at me and completely blinded me. I know for sure that that thing is nice to use when I don’t have my flashlight on me but I’ll just end up giving it to her either way. The star and moon sign is pretty creative adding to the design and the housing for it is either metal or really good plastic.. Either way it is sturdy and DEFINITELY bright! Outlite has definitely brought in a new customer and will be seeing me buy more products from them in the future. Now I just have to see how long these two flashlights will last me 🙂 I’m confident they’ll last for a long time! Great job outlite with the service and fast delivery. Keep it up!

Perhaps a bit more than I needed, but great as a product.

I was pretty blown away by the quality of this flashlight. I’ve only had it a few days, but it’s already pretty boss. Granted, I got this light primarily for when I walk the dog — I have difficulty sometimes finding her … leavings. She’s a small dog and they’re easily hidden by even short grass sometimes. Perhaps this particular light is a bit of overkill for what is essentially the world’s lamest scavenger hunt. Nonetheless, I’m quite happy with the product.

This is a well built tactical flashlight and the brightest one I’ve ever owned. It’s the perfect size to slip in your pocket and is a great tactical unit for carrying at night – the strobe mode in an attacker’s eyes would definitely temporarily blind them so you could run – or get to your primary weapon. I like the fact that the slide mechanism allows you to light up an entire area or pinpoint an object in the distance. It’s also a nice feature to be able to revert to batteries for backup in case you’re in a situation where you run down the rechargeable battery. It is SO much better and useful than a standard and would make an excellent gift. Tip: Place a pinch of grease on the battery compartment threads for easy, smooth access and protection in case it ever gets wet (I would do this for all flashlights).

TRYING AGAIN!

I am pretty disappointed. Sometimes it doesn’t work at all – and sometimes it works and the light is very low. So inconsistent – and it has had hardly any use. I must have received a bad one to begin with. It worked for maybe a month (and I used it very little then) and then it started acting weird. I would never trust this flashlight in an emergency.

The Flashlight You Wanted To Buy 50 Years Ago.

This is the flashlight that you always wanted to buy but no one made it. Now, they do ! I live in the country. You NEED this type of light for the dark forests where I live. Unreal illumination. You can actually see the beam when it’s really pitch black. Lights up an area perhaps 100 ft by 100 ft at a distance of 50 ft or so. Almost like a headlight from your car. It’s perfect in size (fits my hand) and you only need to charge the battery (if you buy the rechargeable battery version). The charge is good for about two to three hours. You can select from 3 different settings for brightness levels. Also has strobe and SOS settings. The beam can also easily telescope to focus on a item perhaps 50 feet in front of you with the adjustment of the handle . I’ve owned this flashlight for about three or four months. Works perfect. Have since bought 5 more for friends and family members. While I PREFER to buy American made items (this one is made in China) I can only say with total honesty it is awesome. Will it last? If it makes it for two years I think it will have paid for itself.

Even Outperforms the MXDL

 on January 10, 2017

My favorite flashlight of all time was the MXDL SA-T6B. But like I said the MXDL was my favorite flashlight. There is now a new flashlight on the block which has become my new favorite. The Outlite A100 absolutely blew me away. I did a comparison with the MXDL and would have to say there are noticeably more lumens probably due to a better designed bulb. One of the features that made the MXDL stand out among my other portable flashlights is how white the light is. But when I placed the two beams side by side the MXDL beam actually has a more yellowish tinge while the A100 shines with a brilliant whitish hue. Both flashlights are manufactured to the highest specs. The MXDL is still a great light. But the A100 stands out as the best. I also noticed that when I widened the beam the A100 beam seems to retain the luminosity a little better than the MXDL. And whoever heard of a lifetime breakage warranty on a flashlight! But that is what you get with the Outlite A100. To me it is a no brainer. And at $17 what a bargain! I already bought another one!

So far, I like it.

So far, this flashlight is great. I use it every evening to check my yard for skunks before I let the dog out. (Yes, the dog getting skunked once taught me to check the yard!) I would give the light five stars, except the mini light that was included is useless. It worked for about two minutes and then konked out. I am hoping that is not indicative of the quality of the flashlight. I want to purchase another for the house and one for my car, but I will see how this one performs for a little longer. I seem to have bad luck with flashlights, even those that are far more expensive. I am cautiously optimistic that I this flashlight will continue to meet expectations.

Great flashlight – hope it lasts for years

Time will tell if this flashlight continues to function as well as it does when new. But, for now, I think it’s well worth the money. The light is far too bright to look at the bulb and casts a bright light across my yard. It came with all the components in the description, plus a bonus of 2 orange O-rings to be used if replacements are ever needed. Look carefully in the packing materials, because at first I only found one of them in the box. I saw some reviewers who said they got these spare rings and others who said they didn’t, but they are easy to overlook.
