Perfect and amazing! Finally a washable curtain!
We have had this curtain for well over a year! We wash it in hot water with bleach and hang it up again once a week. The material almost feels silky and plasticky all wrapped together. It is definitely a very good curtain. And I love the fact that it’s washable! It truly is waterproof as we have never had an issue with water being on the floor outside of the bathtub. Still after all of this time the holes are all intact and no rips or tears can be seen. Just ordered a second one so there wasn’t as much pressure to wash it quickly LOL
I have always used the plastic liners for the inside of my shower curtain. I ordered this fabric curtain and have been pleasantly surprised with how well it is working. Water does not leak out of my shower and it is still as white as the day I bought it. I’ve been using it for weeks now. There is no build-up of mildew, dirt and grime, or any hard water marks from my well water. We do soften our water, but over time there are still occasionally marks at the bottom of our previous plastic curtains.
Convenient and attractive
I have two of these now, and I very much prefer then over the vinyl ones I used to use. They take a long time to look dirty, and are easily thrown in the washing machine. Compared to my old routine with the vinyl ones of washing them in the bath tub with detergent and vinegar, these are much more convenient.
Great quality and appearance
At first I was not thrilled with this, having been used to weighted vinyl liners before. The fabric seemed like it would leak or quickly become moldy. Neither happens.
Definitely glad I bought a fabric curtain
Definitely glad I bought a fabric curtain! Would highly recommend this product over others. Since it is fabric you don’t get that plastic smell once you open it and for at least a week afterward. The fact that I can pop this in the washer is a huge bonus! I haven’t needed to wash it yet as I haven’t had it very long, but I do love that I have the ability to do that. The only thing that was a little strange with this curtain was that it had an extra hole for another hook. Was an easy fix though, I just folded over the last hole onto the hook before it.
Why does the package say "weighted hem" when it is not?
Did I receive a defective shower curtain? A weighted hem was a determining factor in choosing this curtain, as was material and resistance to mildew. I like the material and there is no odor to it. (Cannot comment about the mildew resistance because it has not been used yet.)
Very satisfied, a soft curtain that doesn’t need regular cleaning
I was tired of a shower curtain that felt like saran wrap and needed constant cleaning. This purchase eliminated both of those criteria. The fabric is soft and remains white throughout, theres no mildew or staining near the bottom and it still provides a waterproof barrier. I would prefer that the weighted seam at the bottom had a little bit more weight or a magnet so it would stick to the tub wall, but it manages to stay put most of the time.
This product really lasts for years!
This shower curtain is terrific… the price is right and it launders really well. I ordered this one to replace the old one so I can switch and launder. I use normal laundry detergent with borax and let the curtain soak for half and hour before running the cycle. The shower curtain always seems fresh and clean. My first one has lasted four years already and shows no wear & tear. Very happy with this product.
Mildew Resistant YES! But you have to wash it people! Duh!
I’ve had this for one year and I love it. I just wash it every month or two with my whites with a bit of Clorox and it comes out as new. I’m buying another one now!
I like the material. Time will tell as to how mildew resistant it is. At first glance I thought, there’s no holes to hang it up, but upon closer inspection there are small slits. It was very easy to put up and actually the slits worked better than some I have had with holes. It is very long so may either hem it up a bit or try to put the rod up higher. I am using it as a replacement liner for the plastic one I have. This should be able to be put in the wash.
