These batteries are great. Only downside is I ended up loosing the screws on my belt clips just a little so they don’t scrape with the FLEXVOLT batteries other than that they are monsters. I used to think the 5ah where big, not any more lol.
Great so far
Use Dewalt 20v batteries daily. Have every battery from 1.5 Ah up to this 6 Ah, and in multiples.
Batteries with A/C-like Power
I was able to charge these batteries with the DCB112 charger that I got with my 20v batteries. It takes longer than the DCB118, but the only difference is the speed. They work well with my 20v tools, but my 60v tools don’t work with the 20v batteries. Still, a great battery.

These batteries are huge lots of power! All my 20 volt tools sound stronger and perform almost twice as smooth like the article says it feels like a corded tool once u pop one of these 6 amp batteries. And they charged just fine on my double charger i already had
Doesn’t fit on the 18 to 20 volt adapter!
I have a lot of the 18 volt tools and I bought the adapters to run them with the 20 volt batteries I got with a new drill and charger for about a hundred bucks. Those batteries worked fine with the adapter. However, these batteries have a part of the case that hits the two tabs on the adapter and they don’t work. I’m not sure what the thinking is here because I cut off the offending tabs from the adapter and they work great and last a long time on the charge. I was using a “sawsall” with a 14 TPI blade to cut a window frame out inside of the stucco wall.
Working like a workhorse battery!!!
It’s been a few months since I’ve purchased these and they’re GREAT!!! I have three Dewalt 20v powered tools; wet/dry vac, leaf blower, and power drill… I’ve used all three tools with these batteries EXTENSIVELY the past month or so, and they worked flawlessly… I’ve only recharged them once since I received them… I love the fact that you can tell how much power is left by seeing an LED level indicator in the front of the batteries… If I was to critique one thing about these, it would be the weight… It’s not really an issue, per se, but just be forewarned that they are a little heavier than normal… Only time will tell how long the charges will hold when used with frequency… For now, they’re doing a job well done!!!
A bargain in comparison to the smaller capacities
I have only had the pair for a day, but the facts existed when I made my order.
I don’t have the bigger tools (yet) but have been using them with my circular saw and reciprocal saw the most. They are lasting the day with a lot of use. Just remember to charge them overnight as they take a while.
Great batteries for great tools
Amazing! Love them.
I love these 60 volt batteries! I bought 2 of these and 2 of the 9 amp hour. These are overall a little smaller than the 9 amp hour dimension wise and also weigh less. Both models have an amazing amount of run time even on my skill saw or grinder. Due to the weight I don’t usually run these on my smaller tools like a drill, driver or multi tool, but they do fit. If you have power hungry tools you need more than just a few cuts from, buy these or the 9 amp hour, you won’t regret it.
