I bought this to refill 2 bean bags that had been flattened over the years. These are your standard size ones you see on Target or Walmart. It filled both up to a sufficient volume that you can sit on them again and not feel like they are just empty leather bags. One word of advice, take a dryer sheet and rub it on both the bean bag opening and the slit area you cut open to pour the beans. This will keep static from causing all sorts of problems for you when transferring to your bean bag.

Good Quality/Quantity but VERY Messy.

The foam beans were delivered a week earlier than expected and there was more than enough to fill the bean bag chair. I only used a little more than half of the bag. They do go everywhere and stick to everything. On the bag they provide a dotted line showing you where to cut the bag open at one of the corners, I recommend making a much smaller cut (only a few inches wide) you won’t fill the bean bag as quickly, but it helps keep the beans in the bag and not all over the floor.

Perfect bean-bag chair refill

 on September 25, 2017

Needed to refill my daughter’s favorite bean-bag chair so we ordered these. They looked exactly like the kind that were already in the chair. I do wish that they made the bag easier to open though – cutting it with scissors than dropping the bag makes a HUGE mess. So did trying to hold this bag while dumping the beans into the chair. Good grief what a difficult mess to clean up! The end results however were as we hoped – one fully refilled and non flat bean-bag chair, and one happy daughter. (With enough beans left over for a partial refill later on) S

I started to put them in my son’s beanbag chair and what a pain….the static drives me crazy. I gave up after managing to get some in his chair. They are Styrofoam beans – reason for the static, but otherwise, there is nothing wrong with the product. Just have to figure out how to get them in the chair, instead of clinging to me (my hands, arms, shirt, etc!).

Big bag for good price.

I picked up a Big Joe chair from a big box store over the holidays. After about 2 months of daily use the chair started to slump and it was time for a refill. I purchased the original filling medium expecting that the bag would contain enough medium to refill the chair and not much else. Now as anyone who has had any experience with styer foam peanuts will tell you, dealing with a large quantity is a chore that usually ends up requiring the assistance of a vacuum cleaner once you are finished. This product was no different. However with how quickly the medium breaks down inside the chair, how much you receive in the package, and the fact that I’ll be able to refill that chair several times, you can be sure it’s a great deal. I recommend this product whole heartedly.

Use a breadcrumb can to ease refilling. One refill bag per deflated chair.

These beans filled my kids’ beanbag chair fully. Our chairs were pretty deflated and needed one bag of beans for each chair. When re-filling, you need to flip the chair upside down and really work the beans into the nooks and crannies for the whole bag to fit. I used a bread crumb can with the end cut out like a previous reviewer suggested and had minimal issues with beans flying out all over the place because of the lid. I wish the bean refill bag had a built in spout on it to ease the refill effort. Otherwise, the kids love their chairs again and they no longer need to lean them against furniture to sit upright.

Wheel chair pillow.

I decided to make a pillow with the white beans for my wheel chair. The backs of my legs get very sore from sitting so much and I thought this would be a way to make a pillow that moves with me.
